• About the class: This is a 60 min Hatha yoga class welcome to all - no need to have yoga experience.
• About me: Hi, I'm Priya! I'm a yoga teacher and certified Thai massage therapist. My work with Yoga is based on 16 years of practice, and while I have tried many styles of yoga over the years for the last 6 years I exclusively study the teachings of BKS Iyengar whose focus on alignment for health and unity continues to inspire me. I encourage my students to explore each pose, honoring their individual body structure, limitations, and potential. In addition to teaching Yoga I'm also a business professional dedicated to supporting innovators & entrepreneurs. For the last year I have supported Azahir and their hardworking team.
• About AZAHIR: Where Azahir Works
  Azahir is a community-based Lebanese NGO working in the most marginalized areas of northern Lebanon to empower vulnerable children and refugees in conflict-prone areas like Akkar and Nahr el Bared Palestinian Refugee Camp. Nahr el Bared Palestinian Camp was established during the Nakba in 1948, and has transformed into an urban refugee camp hosting over 30,000 people, currently a zone controlled by checkpoints blocking free movement and access.
• Azahir's mission is to ensure every child has the right to a safe, nurturing environment, promoting stability and peace in underserved communities and high-risk areas. We emphasize education, psycho-social support, and youth leadership, training young people to be educators and role models. Our vision is a cohesive society where empowered youth lead communities towards resilience and peace. Operating efficiently, we direct resources to ground-level activities, managed by local youth teams in our community centers, ensuring maximum impact with minimal administrative costs.
• Azahir also supports the families of our Palestinian community members located in Gaza through targeted aid distribution of emergency water and sanitation supplies
