# Contact Improvisation Investigation Group

### Thursday Tune-Up Series

This weekly group is for anyone interested in developing a deeper relationship with Contact Improvisation through regular practice, exploration, and shared inquiry.
Rather than a traditional class or a free-form jam, this is an ongoing investigation space where we can study, practice, and refine different aspects of Contact Improvisation together.
Each session will include specific themes, exercises, and movement research that Benny brings to the group. At the same time, the process is collaborative. Questions, discoveries, and interests that emerge from participants will help shape our direction over time.
The intention is to create a consistent container where we can learn from one another, deepen our understanding of the form, and support each other's development.

Over the course of the series, we may explore topics such as:
• Foundations of Contact Improvisation
• Safety and consent
• Listening and connection
• Weight sharing and lifting
• Falling and momentum
• Touch and points of contact
• Movement principles and improvisation
• Composition and score-based exploration
• And other topics relevant to the group's interests and growth
This series is separate from the Sunday Jam. While jams provide an open space for practice, these sessions offer a more focused environment for investigation, skill development, and collective learning.

💰 €30 for 4 consecutive sessions (please bring this as a single cash payment on the first meeting)

### What to Bring

• Comfortable clothing suitable for movement
• Curiosity and a willingness to explore
• A notebook and pen if you'd like to take notes
Please avoid wearing jewellery during the sessions.
Punctuality is important. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin together at 19:30.
If there is sufficient interest and the group is benefiting from the format, the series may continue into July.
