BayState Bridge Together Online (Monday)
BayState Bridge Together Online (Monday)
Please join us for a pleasant afternoon/evening of competitive party bridge. We use Zoom for audio/video chatting during our games: see the link in the date/time/place sidebar. You may wish use two separate devices for the audio-video and for the bridge play. Kindly provide me your BridgeBase.com username. Then, after you login to BridgeBase.com, go to "Play or Watch Bridge>Casual". From there you can receive the invitation to our table. (BridgeBase doesn't issue invitations unless you are in the right place. (And in case of trouble, it may work to back out and reenter the "Casusal" space.)) If we get more than 4 people, then we'll ask someone to stand up after a few rounds and let others play. Or have more tables! You must know Contract Bridge rules and basic bidding to play. No formal training will be offered, but this is a social, casual event, and bidding advice and meanings will be openly discussed at any player's request. ACBL Yellow Card (http://lexikos.com/yellowcard.htm) is our group-standard bidding system; a novice should please take time to study all basic openings and responses shown above, plus standard Jacoby Transfer (http://www.bridgebum.com/jacoby_transfers.php) and Stayman (http://www.bridgebum.com/stayman.php) responses to NT openings. We will expect a verbal alert on deviations an expert may make to these most-common conventions.
Westchester Area RPG Society (WARS) Monthly Meeting
Westchester Area RPG Society (WARS) Monthly Meeting
The purpose of the meetup is to chat about RPG stuff, play RPGs together whenever possible, and give Gamemsasters and Players a way to informally meet and greet each other, talk about RPG stuff, and help to facilitate introducing players to games in the area. If you are a GM with open slots at your table this would be a good venue to meet perspective new players. Just post a RSVP and tell the group a little bit about your game so players can get an idea of what you're up to. Or feel free to drop in and chat about D&Dish stuff. If you are interested in alternative RPGs like some Indie Games or Traveler, or whatever version of D&D from Edition 1 onward, feel free to drop in. We're open to any RPG type games. I'll try to remember to have a sign up stating that this is us which will say "Westchester Area RPG Society (WARS)!!", but do look around for us ... Modern Myths is not a huge store, and we generally will be sitting at the tables in the back of the store. Also, please note - a minimum of three members need to RSVP 24 hours in advance for us to hold the meeting. Otherwise the meeting is postponed until next time. I also encourage members to spark up interest by expressing your RPG interests in your RSVP and encouraging others to attend the meeting as well. :) Mark

Friday Night Discord Games and Hangout!
Firstly we play all week and not only on Friday nights, so come and take a look and say hi in the Discord 😊 Random members of the group gather in discord and play games on Friday night! Depending on my schedule I may or may not be able to join! But many members are there so feel free to drop by and put something together! It says from 8-10pm but we often go on till 11 or 12. Most of the games are completely free and can be joined via browser or a link! Come and join, everyone is super friendly and willing to help newbies. We play all kinds of games such as Among us, Board games, Jackbox Party Pack, Codenames and lots more. We also play many PC games on steam in the discord during the week. Such as Rocket League, Valorant, Elder Scrolls Online, WoW, Fall Guys, Overcooked 2, Rainbow Six Siege etc.. We usually get between 10-20 people join directly via the Discord so don't worry if not many have joined from this page, many people always join on Friday night :) The event is completely free to join ;) See you there! Just come and say "hi" Aaron (or Taro in the discord)

Freeform Gaming Online
Freeform Gaming Online
The historic Boardgame And RPG Enthusiasts Group is organizing online boardgames each wednesday, at 8:30 pm - 11:30pm on their online discord. Join a welcoming community for folk near and far, young and old, of every shape, ability, and gender identity, as they enjoy digital boardgames and chatting in our discord voice channel to build a fun online community, centered around boardgames and roleplaying games. Chatting in the discord requires a microphone for your personal computer and a discord account. You can join our discord for free at the following web address. [https://discord.gg/nagJvNAmvs](https://discord.gg/nagJvNAmvs) There are many different methods we use to play board games online, but the most common is a free website, Boardgame Arena. It is accessible through an app or from most web browsers, and facilitates live games of over 480 of the most popular boardgames. It's easy to use! All you need is an email address and you can sign up for a free account here: [https://en.boardgamearena.com/account?page=newuser](https://en.boardgamearena.com/account?page=newuser) Some games often played by members on BGA include, but are not limited to; Innovation, Space Base, Railroad Ink, Race for the Galaxy, 7 Wonders, Welcome To, and many more. We also use the discord to coordinate future events, and with the recent access to widespread vaccination we are in the process of carefully opening up some live and in-person events. Come join us to be a part of the planning, or just for the most recent updates! This meeting will be a freeform gaming event. Freeform Gaming meetings are open gaming events where everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to suggest any games they would like to play. If you suggest a game, please be prepared to teach it to others, or make it clear up front if it will be a learning game for everyone. Rules lawyers and game-crappers should feel free to stay home. To attend, all that we ask is that you review the Group Guidelines ([http://www.meetup.com/bn-bareg/messages/boards/thread/4892770](http://www.meetup.com/bn-bareg/messages/boards/thread/4892770)). While not required, RSVPing helps let us plan how to break up groups for games ahead of time. Knowing beforehand, if we have room for a 6 player game of Codenames, or if someone is wanting to play a 5 player game of Terraforming Mars, makes things a little easier to plan. We hope to see you there!

MGA Virtual Go Center
MGA Virtual Go Center
NOTE: We've had 25-35 people each week at this meetup, but most folks aren't RSVP-ing via Meetup. Around half are from outside MA. Please join us, even if you didn't RSVP. *** The "Natick" group is now meeting via Zoom + OGS (Online Go Server), and includes many people from outside of Massachusetts. Beginners are always welcome. It is great to host people who don't live near enough to other Go players to play in person. The Zoom + OGS experience provides 75% of the in-person experience. During the meetup, you can: • Play friendly games, or watch us play • Play league games. For details about joining the league, see http://massgo.org/league/ • Join a beginners group, or get teaching games • Join a DDK or SDK study group, generally starting at 8:30 • Have your game reviewed, or watch other reviews • Participate in a review of a pro game, starting at 9:30, in "guess the move" format. You can watch the game on Twitch and chat there, or talk to other Go players watching the review on the Zoom. See https://www.twitch.tv/massgo On Tuesday evening, sign in to OGS and go to the Massachusetts Go Association group (various links are posted there), or just join the Zoom. See https://online-go.com/group/45. Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you.

Board games at The Forge
Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area. Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
