Once on board, head to the **first 2nd-class carriage** in the direction of travel so we can all sit together. Repeating one of my favourite routes last year: walking along historic irrigation channels (also known as Suonen), adventurous tunnels, larch forests, with a view of Glishorn, Matterhorn, the Leone Group and Mischabel – experience all this and more on the hike from Birgisch via Mund, the so-called saffron village, to Eggen (From SwitzerlandMobility). We will continue the hike through the sun-drenched slopes of Valais until we reach Ausserberg.
