Fit with Parkinson's (Zoom indoor class)
Fit with Parkinson's (Zoom indoor class)
Exercise can slow down the progression of Parkinson’s, and Covid 19 Quarantine is no reason not to move! Join our fun online class and stay fit and healthy. Our ‘Nordic Neuro Magic’ is a new exercise class designed for people in the early stage of Parkinson’s and their friends or partners who can walk, are at a low risk of falls and have no major other health concerns. Inspired by PD Warrior, we run especially designed classes, designed to slow down the progression of Parkinson’s. Our members love it, and we can really see the difference in the members who have been with us for a while! Now we are all in Quarantine during the Covid 19 outbreak, we have adapted our outdoor classes to an interarctive online session twice a week. So join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11am for this fun and fast paced session. If you have 1.5×1.5 meter space, a sturdy chair without arm rests and an internet connection, you are good to go. It is sociable, fun, and keeps you in the best shape you can be, without ever leaving your home. The classes are based around 7 key principles: o Powerful o Complex o Frequent o High effort o Meaningful in daily life o Specific to symptoms o Fun! Once we can get back to Nordic Walking we will! Please keep an eye out for our outdoor classes when quarantine time is over. New to Fit and Happy Outdoors? Please email me on ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com or send me a personal message through Meetup at least 24 hours before the session you would like to join. That will give me enough time to get back to you and discuss your needs and find out a bit more about you. Once signed up we will send you a link to our Zoom meeting, as well as the password. Cost: £150 per 10 sessions or £90 per month for unrestricted access to all our classes. Your partner can join your session for free. Pay What Works: The price shown above is the “true” value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I don’t want that to stop you from joining us. In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes. Then send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading “INVOICE please”- followed by “FAHO 1” to pay full price as quoted below, “FAHO 2”, for 20% off, or “FAHO 3” for 50% off. Pllease do tell me if you want to pay for 10 sessions, or if you’d like to pay monthly. I prefer payment by bank transfer, but if that is not possible you could post me a cheque, made out to Ailien Rhijnsburger.

Release Your Inner Writer - Monday's at 4pm pacific, 5pm mountain, 6pm central
**Release Your Inner Writer** **Release Your Inner Writer is for anyone who feels they are a writer, wants to be a writer, or those who want to explore writing in a comfortable and supportive setting. We’ll set the stage for you to write creatively with opportunities to share with the group, or not, whatever you’re comfortable with.** Have you ever thought: “I have an interesting story, but I don’t know how to start sharing it with people”? Have you ever thought of writing a book? Do you simply want to start journaling? Every person has a story to share, and all of them are transformational for us and sometimes for others. When we write our thoughts and ideas down, we move internal content to an external device like a notebook or a laptop. By doing this we’re able to clear our heads and uncover one layer after another. **Hosted by Kathy Nutt** **Kathy Nutt** is a creative who uses many media and styles to convey a glimpse into her mysterious, whimsical world. Although mainly focused on the visual arts, she dabbles in the written word and is endeavoring to cultivate a consistent practice of writing, whether it be poetry, essays, short stories, or journaling. Kathy believes a writing practice (along with any creative practice) is a beneficial way to break through the mundane and view our worlds through fresh new eyes. We may discover a breakthrough, change a pattern, or just experience catharsis. Or we may simply arrive in a place of joy. She believes the creative process is more important than the finished product and that creativity is for everyone, not just the gifted few. **CREATING CONNECTION CANADA** is a network of welcoming and inclusive communities committed to sharing authentic conversation, nurturing meaningful activities, promoting holistic wellness practices, and fostering compassionate action. We are LGBTQ+ affirming. People of every walk of life, culture, faith, or tradition, participate in a myriad of connection groups, forming meaningful community within this diversity. As a result, these communities are multi-faceted - expressing the inspirations, aspirations, wisdom, practices, and blessing of all. While we encourage you to share openly, we ask that you do so in a kind and considerate manner. **As a REGISTERED NON-PROFIT** charity working to bring community together through like-minded interests, we welcome and gratefully appreciate any financial support. Tax receipts are provided. CREDIT CARD: http://donations.creatingconnection.ca E-TRANSFER: donations[@creatingconnection](http://creatingconnection/).ca
Open Awareness Meditation Group Meetup
Open Awareness Meditation Group Meetup
We gather for guided meditation with periods of silence, followed by discussion. The silence is interspersed with meditation instruction, perhaps a brief reading, a simple inquiry, exploration or movement. We meet every Monday night, 7:30 pm Eastern Time, ONLINE. If you find you are running late, come anyway! The format is very relaxed and open— anyone interested in contemplative practice is welcome! About Open Awareness Meditation Group At the heart of these meditation sessions is the silent exploration of what we refer to as Open Awareness. We all know what it means to feel closed, limited, vulnerable, or separate. What is it like to allow ourselves to return to our natural condition of openness, presence, non-separateness and ease? This is what we explore in our meetings. We have been meeting for over a decade. We explore and share primarily from traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as the Indian Nondual tradition of Advaita. Some current teachers of this are Francis Lucille, Rupert Spira, and Eckhart Tolle . However all of these traditions ultimately point to the same truth, the truth of our basic awareness or presence which is beyond any tradition, practice or teaching. This is the presence we share, and the presence we are, beyond words. The meetings are open to newcomers as well as experienced meditators, and all are very welcome. TO ATTEND: You can register by going to Awakeningheartpracticecommunity.org. Find the Monday Night Open Awareness Sitting in the Schedule, and click on Register. Only a name and email address are required. Once registered, you'll receive an email with the Zoom link. Save the link - you only need to register once.

Depression Support Talk
Depression Support Talk
Hello Friends this is a online offline session, the offline location is in noida A-110 sector 19 noida near noida sector 16 metro station, people can join either online or offline as per convenient. Depression is one of the most common illnesses in these urban times where stress has become our constant companion. We have so many pressures upon us making us sink into depression. But then sometimes even the people who are suffering from depression do not know that they are suffering from depression, they will just fake a smile and stick it on their faces forever. But depression is not something that would leave you alone on its own. Maybe for someone, it might go away on its own however it is not guaranteed that it would go away on its own for everyone. Loneliness, sadness, failures are often the prime reasons for depression. Let's meet together and share our story, Together :) Cheers!
Sound Bath
Sound Bath
This is a 45-60 minute soothing meditation, assisted around singing bowls, most of them crystal. The goal is to relax your body, soothe your soul, and balance your your energy. I have figured out how to recreate the experience of a live sound bath on the internet. One of the things we find is that singing bowls, especially the crystal ones, seem to transmit some of the energy of the practitioner, which means that it is helpful when the practitioner is confident in their technique and in sound theory, is centered and grounded, and works with healing intent. If you have had an uncomfortable experience in a sound bath, the practitioner may have been off that day. Please note that the session on the last Saturday of the month is a more focused, coached experience designed to help you move through trauma. Deeply Connect with Divine Love — The Sound of Soul
Would you like to discover your true Self? Do you want to know how to love unconditionally even in hard times? Are you interested in learning a simple technique to open your heart to Divine Love? You are warmly invited to join us and experience a simple spiritual exercise to open our heart to divine love in a friendly atmosphere with other like-minded souls. Come, share your stories and insights. The Sound of Soul is HU. The HU sound is a vibration often heard in the wind from Heaven, God's Holy Spirit. This sound has even been called the name of God. “As you chant the name of God, with love, for twenty minutes a day, the bindings that constrain Soul will begin to unwind. Not all at once, but very slowly, at a rate you can understand and accept. 'As these bindings are released, Soul rises in spiritual freedom.” — Harold Klemp, The Sound of Soul, p. 31 Experience some of the many benefits of the Sound of Soul: • Inner Peace and Calm • Divine Love • Expanded awareness • Spiritual self-discovery and growth • Healing of the heart • Conquer fear • Inner Guidance Open your heart to yourself and others. Humanist Program
Humanist Program
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country. Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply. ### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?** Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment. ## **Why Join?** * **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance. * **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space. * **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection. ## **The Ideal Group Leader** The ideal group leader * Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community. * Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us. * Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind. * An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection. * An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms. * Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus. ## **Our Impact** ![](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/64a6315db1eb8d081603d9ea/028252c7-347e-4196-8c79-b81d2a4db4bb/Mountaineering+Guide+Trifold+Brochure+in+Pink+White+Modern+Minimalist+Style+-+2.jpg) Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported: * A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being. * An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging. * Said they would return again. We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself. ### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based** Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission! Every contribution helps us: * **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization. * **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year. By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic. ## **Come Join Us!** We’d love to have you be part of this growing community of people prioritizing their mental health, movement, and connection. 🔹 **Visit Our Website to Learn More:** https://speakyourmind.men/joinusoutside 🔹 **Apply Here to Lead Your Own Group!** – https://form.jotform.com/taketimespeakyourmind/sym-group-leader-application 🔹 **Support the mission**: If you resonate with the mission and want to support, feel free to join a group before applying or donate to help us reach our goals to help more people! Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
