Spring Equinox: A Nowruz Partnership

This week, we are honoured to partner with friends from the Persian community for a special evening centered around Nowruz (the Persian New Year) and the arrival of Spring.
While Toronto Babel is always a place for all languages, tonight we’re excited to share the "soul" of this culture through their famous traditions and timeless poetry.
✨ What to Expect:
✅ The Haft-Seen Tradition: We will have a traditional display of the seven symbolic items of spring. Come learn what they represent for renewal and hope.
✅Poetry & Fortunes: We’ll be sharing snippets of Hafez. In this culture, poetry isn't just art, it's a way to seek guidance and connection.
✅Language Bites: We’ll have a few key Farsi words and phrases on hand to help you navigate the night and connect with our Persian members.
