🥾 The Plan
We’ll explore one of the wildest and most spectacular areas of Montserrat, following mountain trails through its unique rock formations, hidden hermitages and impressive viewpoints.
Our first main objective will be the ascent to Roca de Sant Salvador (1,156 m), better known as “L’Elefant” because of its distinctive shape. The final section is the most adventurous part of the route and includes some scrambling, where we’ll need to use our hands to progress over the rock (although this is not a climbing activity).
From there, if the group’s pace, weather and trail conditions allow, we’ll continue towards Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), the highest point of Montserrat and our second main objective of the day.
If the whole group is still feeling strong after Sant Jeroni and we have enough time, the guide may extend the route to another nearby summit, such as Miranda de Santa Magdalena or Albarda Castellana.

The exact itinerary will therefore depend on the group and weather conditions on the day.

This is a physically demanding hike, mainly because of the significant elevation gain and the steep terrain. Depending on the final route:

Elevation gain: +800/1,400 m 🔘🔘🔘🔘🔘
Technical difficulty: 🔘🔘🔘⚪⚪
Some sections require using both hands and feet to progress over rocky terrain.
This activity is recommended for people who are used to hiking in the mountains and comfortable with steep and uneven terrain.
It is not recommended for people with a fear of heights.

🚙 How do we get there?
We’ll be sharing private cars from Barcelona.
During the booking process, you’ll be invited to let us know if you have a car and how many people can come with you.
Each passenger will pay €15 to the driver to cover gas expenses.

The first driver leaving from Barcelona and willing to take passengers can book the Driver Ticket for €35 instead of €50.
You can also meet us directly at the destination.

🥾 El plan
Exploraremos una de las zonas más salvajes y espectaculares de Montserrat, siguiendo senderos de montaña entre sus formaciones rocosas únicas, ermitas escondidas y miradores impresionantes.
Nuestro primer objetivo principal será la ascensión a la Roca de Sant Salvador (1.156 m), más conocida como “L’Elefant” por su característica forma. El tramo final es la parte más aventurera de la ruta e incluye algunas trepadas, en las que tendremos que utilizar las manos para progresar por la roca (aunque no se trata de una actividad de escalada).
Desde allí, si el ritmo del grupo, la meteorología y las condiciones del terreno lo permiten, continuaremos hacia Sant Jeroni (1.236 m), el punto más alto de Montserrat y nuestro segundo gran objetivo del día.
Si después de Sant Jeroni todo el grupo sigue con fuerzas y tenemos tiempo suficiente, el guía podrá ampliar la ruta hasta otra cima cercana, como la Miranda de Santa Magdalena o la Albarda Castellana.
Por lo tanto, el itinerario exacto dependerá del grupo y de las condiciones meteorológicas del día.

Se trata de una ruta físicamente exigente, principalmente por el desnivel acumulado y el terreno empinado. Dependiendo de la ruta final:

No está recomendada para personas con miedo a las alturas.

🚙 ¿Cómo llegaremos?
Compartiremos coches privados desde Barcelona.
Durante el proceso de reserva, te preguntaremos si tienes coche y cuántas personas pueden venir contigo.
Cada pasajero pagará 15€ al conductor para cubrir los gastos de gasolina.
El primer conductor que salga desde Barcelona y pueda llevar pasajeros podrá reservar el ticket de Conductor por 35€ en lugar de 50€.
También puedes reunirte directamente con nosotros en el punto de inicio de la actividad.
