Aculco Colonial Town (Pueblo Mágico) + dam and waterfall
Let´s visit the beautiful town of Aculco (Pueblo Mágico), a colonial town with nearby the dam and waterfall of La Concepción. Aculco was founded approximately in 1110 AD by the Otomies, despite the fact that its name comes from Nahuatl. With the arrival of the Spanish in 1540, construction on the church and the convent of San Jeronimo began. In November 1810, Miguel Hidalgo and his contingent, who began the Mexican War of Independence, arrived in the region. Two waterfalls are located in the area: "Tixhiñu" and "la Concepción". Many rivers, including the Río Ñadó and Río Prieto also flow through the municipality. In addition, Aculco is home to numerous historic sites, including the San Jerónimo and the "Garrido Varela" (a bullring), as well as the former residence of Miguel Hidalgo. The price is 600 Mexican Pesos and includes private transport for our group, experienced driver, and explanations in Spanish and English. It is important to pay not later than the 19th of July 2018 to make sure we can arrange the right transport for the right amount of people. You can pay by making a transfer by Internet, by making a deposit of cash money in a Banamex bank or by paying with cash money in an Oxxo store. Please send a WhatsApp to[masked] (Lidia Herrera) to receive the payment information. Let´s explore Mexico together in safe and fun way :-).
