Books & Brunch is a private, invitation-only, book discussion group that meets occasionally for potluck brunch and a book discussion. Books are chosen from various subgenres of nonfiction, such as biography, memoir, history, science, philosophy, criticism, commentary, essays, and humor, to name a few. Selections include classics as well as contemporary titles.
A COUPLE OF THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE ASKING TO JOIN:
- This is an invitation-only book group. Please understand that receiving an automated marketing email from the Meetup platform letting you know about this group because it meets in your geographical area or matches your areas of interest is NOT the same thing as receiving a personal invitation from the Organizer. Anyone asking to join without having received a personal invitation from the Organizer will not be admitted to the group. Do not send the Organizer a message asking for an invitation. Such requests will receive no response. Also, if you have received a personal invitation and request to join, we require that you use a current, non-blurry photo of your face without any masks or other obstructive coverings as your profile photo, as well as your real name, so that we can recognize you when reviewing your request. If the Organizer does not recognize your Meetup profile because you have an unhelpful photo or are not using your real name, your request to join may be denied.
- As this group meets in a private home with limited seating, no one will be admitted to any meeting who has not RSVP’d at least a day in advance, and no one will be admitted without showing proof of full vaccination against COVID.
