You can write. We're here to help.
Do you have voices inside your head that won't leave you alone until you get their story down on paper? Good news – you're a writer. Bad news – it's not as easy to get it down on paper as it sounds. Get together with other writers to discuss story structure, marketing your work, publishers, agents, brainstorming. We will even have the occasional critique. Novels, short stories, screenplays, poems – in all genres are welcome. We're here to help you write the best stories, songs, poems, memoirs, screenplays you can write.
New for 2020 - All meetings until further notice will take place online either via Google Meet or in the Discord video channel.

Discussion will be focused to the needs of writers aiming for publication. Any critiques will be aimed to help the writer improve their craft in order to get published. If you aren't willing to kill your darlings for the good of the piece this probably isn't the writing group for you.
I welcome emails from people interested in Guelph Write Now. However, if you are trying to sell something please don't bother. If you want to offer a workshop we would be interested however, we do not pay dues and therefore cannot pay you. If you want us to enter your contest, I don't forward those emails to the group if you charge a fee.
