Everyone is welcome! Our tradition of Buddhism makes no distinctions on the basis of gender, sexuality, race, background, or income. And it doesn't matter if you identify with a different religion. Buddhist teachings can benefit everyone!

Foundations for a Strong Meditation Practice
In our June classes (June 1st & June 8th) we will take a look at how a sincere and skilled meditation practice provides the opportunity to take a break from distraction, energize and enliven our inner experience, and see even the most challenging of circumstances in a new light.During this practical and experiential series you will learn the foundations of Buddhist meditation, how to start or recharge your at-home practice, and learn methods for improving and sustaining a healthy meditation habit.

Reliable Minds for Difficult Times
In our July classes (July 6th, 13th, and 20th) we will explore how to maintain more peaceful and beneficial states of mind, even as life presents us with endless difficulties.How does one cope with the uncertainty and instability of our daily problems and world events? Responding with anger, attachment and fear offers no real protection. Buddhist teachings encourage us to rely upon peaceful experiences and states of mind. Learning to meditate helps us to gain experience of them. This series will introduce Buddhism and explain how meditation can offer authentic inner protection.

July 13: Compassion in Action: A Better Way to Respond
July 20: Seeing Clearly: The Person Is Not the Problem
