Join us for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience at the CIA, including a private dining experience at the renowned Bocuse French Restaurant, set on the stunning campus overlooking the Hudson River. Your day will also include a short tour of the CIA campus, an exceptional multi-course meal, and a visit to the historic Franklin D. Roosevelt Mansion and Presidential Library. NYSN founder Dave Cervini will be your host for the day.
What to Expect
Transportation:
Take the 8:55am train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie, NY, or drive and meet the group at the Poughkeepsie train station at 10:57am sharp.
Lunch at the CIA:
Enjoy a three-course meal in a private dining room at American Bounty Restaurant (menu below).
Campus Tour:
Dave will lead a guided walk through the CIA campus, including select restaurants and classrooms, while sharing the school’s rich history.
FDR Historic Site:
After lunch, we’ll head to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Mansion and Presidential Library for a guided tour.
Return to NYC:
Transportation will be provided back to the Poughkeepsie train station for a relaxing return to NYC. Latest departure: 5:52pm.

It will be sunny and 75 degrees this Saturday! Join us for a beautiful Spring day in the Hudson Valley for an amazing dual hike in Rosendale NY. Each hike is moderate and includes amazing views and history!
Hike Host/Guide: Dave Cervini
What To Expect:
First we will enjoy an easy hike at The Snyder Estate home of the Widow Jane Cement Mine, a half mile stroll that bring you past the awesome mine caves from the 1800’s.
We’ll stop for lunch there
After lunch we’ll head to Joppenberg Mountain at 1.5 mile moderate hike with a 500 foot elevation gain that offers stunning views of the valley and Rondout Creek.
Following the hike you will have a chance to explore Main Street in Rosendale then we’ll stop at a local cafe for a beverage before heading back to the train.
Cost $80 General members / $70 Lifetime VIP Members. Includes: transportation to and from the transportation to all of the activities from Poughkeepsie, guide fees, park fees.
Not Included: Lunch, train fare. We will stop at a local deli prior to the hike for those who do not bring their own lunch.
How Do I Get There?
You can take the 8:56am Metro North Train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie or you can drive to meet our van at the station. You can also take Amtrak to Poughkeepsie as long as you arrive by 11am.
Can I come alone?
Yes 99% of those attending will likely be traveling on their own.
How Hard Is The Hike?
The Snyder Estate is fairly flat, very easy. The Joppenberg Mountain hike is considered moderate 4-5 out of 10 difficulty. Hiking shoes are recommended but sneakers would be fine.

Rowing a boat on the lake in Central Park is a classic New York experience—and it’s even better when shared! Join a fun group of NYSN members and friends as we take to the water for an hour of light adventure, conversation, and beautiful views.
After the ride, enjoy a delicious and casual lunch together at the Boathouse Outdoor Café, surrounded by nature in the heart of Manhattan.
🌿 How It Works
10:00 AM SHARP: Meet in front of the Central Park Boathouse.
We’ll walk together to the dock to board the boats.
Boats seat 4 people each—take turns rowing or appoint a “captain.”
Enjoy 1 hour on the lake, paddling and chatting with fellow participants.
After the ride, we’ll grab lunch at the outdoor café.
