Ver todo- Movement & Choreography Workshop for BeginnersThe LAB, Dublin 1, D
Let’s enhance our curiosity and creativity in ourselves and others through Movement.
In this event we will have easy exercises and games prepared for us to associate on life in a playful and fun way, and create choreographies with music.
An Example of an Exercise: In small groups, we visualise a word with a 5 second gesture, followed by another person, who will associate on that gesture, and create their own. With music, the rhythm can influence the size, intensity and speed of your motion. The other exercises will be a surprise.
We will explore ways to express emotions, thoughts, images and experiences, by creating a safe environment without judgement.
Anyone is welcome to attend and no dance experience is required.
Location: We are meeting at Studio 4 of The LAB.
Fees: We ask a fee of €8 per person to help pay for the venue. Please pay the organiser at the event. We accept cash/revolut/paypal.Find out more about us/Support our Group here: https://activesocialconnections.com/
- Improv Writing (Outdoors)Harold's Cross Park, Dublin3,00 EUR
This fun, casual event will help people explore their creative writing through games. No previous writing experience is required: simply an open mind. Given it's outdoors, it might get cancelled if the weather isn't suitable.
You are required to bring a few things:
- your own pen / pencil, along a notebook or writing materials (consider there are no tables there);
- willingness to sit on the grass in the open air;
- a positive attitude and willingness to share what you write with others
Location: Harold's Cross Park, its northern part
Cost: We ask a €3 fee to help support the group.
Punctuality: We ask participants to arrive on time: the activities build on top of each other, and arriving after missing one or two will make it harder to participate.
Attendance: if you RSVP saying you’re going, please come — otherwise you’re preventing someone else from enjoying this session.
The event is suitable for people ages 16 and above, from all backgrounds, regardless of their English level.
