Do you play, interested in learning how to play? Whether you’re experienced, a beginner who doesn't know a kitchen from a basement, or just looking for a way to get moving and meet new people, all are welcome!
How this works:
We start with an "intro to pickle-ball" for anyone new, followed by some open, non competitive play. This time we will be at Huston Lake. (If you have extra paddles and balls, please bring those) for any newbies that want to learn just come ready to play with some good court shoes. We can also start looking for courts in other parts of town as well, so that in the future we can rotate locations... My number is (970) 988-2034 if anyone needs to talk to me directly. Serious thinkers have been pondering human stupidity for centuries. Some describe it as mental laziness, while others see it as a capitulation to group pressure and hierarchy. There's even a school of thought that views it as a manipulative means of amassing power.

At this month's Forum, your facilitators will step through several of these theories. We'll then share how we're using AI to generate the podcasts and graphics we plan on using for our course on stupidity, to be taught next month through DU's OLLI program.

As always, we'll lave plenty of time for discussion, during which we'll ask whether AI can present the various theories of irrationality clearly enough to help the ordinary person avoid leading what Socrates called "the unexamined life."

The Starving Oligarchs Jazz Band will perform jazz standards for a mellow crowd on the first Saturday of every month. As always, we’ll keep the volume low enough that the folks in the crowd can enjoy either the music or good conversation with their friends.
BYOB and food and enjoy the atmosphere.

Welcome to the Secular Hub! Our monthly breakfast begins at 10AM with a buffet of pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, breakfast meats (including plant-based), fruit, pastries, and likely some other items which may include gluten-free options. And of course there will be coffee, tea, and juice. This is not an "all you can eat" buffet (as was previously stated in the details) take only what you can eat and and save some for people who come after 10:00am

Buffet "tickets":
Hub dues-paying members: $8.00 adults, $4.00 for kids 12 and under.
Non-Members: $10.00 adults, $5.00 kids 12 and under.
Cash, check, Venmo or credit cards are accepted. Cash is appreciated.
