Hi! Welcome to the Sydney Hotshots, an LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Other) social badminton group.
We're a group open to everyone but has a strong focus on being a welcoming, supportive & non-judgmental environment for LGBTQ+ players.
In keeping with the all-inclusive theme, this group is non-discriminatory when it comes to skill level and that those with limited (or no) experience feel just as welcome as those who can play to a high level. Badminton is one of the few sports where it’s possible to have lots of fun, even when the standard of play is nothing to speak of!
We currently play once a week for two hours with five courts in Tempe. Attendance costs $19, all you need to bring is your own racket!
There is now a Cancellation policy - if you cancel your RSVP 24 hours prior to Tuesday night 7pm i.e. after 7pm on Monday night, you will be charged $10.
The waiting list for sessions will open as soon as the current session is full.
If you are planning to record any part of the night, can you please give me a heads up and also ensure you do not record people who are not comfortable being recorded.
Please note, we are an informal meet-up group, and are NOT covered by insurance. If you wish to have personal insurance in case of any injuries, please arrange this yourself before joining. Please make sure you warm up before playing.
The organisers accept no responsibility for personal injury, stolen or damaged property or any other damage that occurred at our events.
