Meet others interested in functional programming and share your knowledge and experiences. Find support for your first foray into FP if you're new to it.

Functional programming is a niche community and there is much common ground between languages, so we welcome discussions about Scala, Haskell, Clojure, Erlang, F# and any others in the FP spirit. You can present the influence of functional patterns in JavaScript, Swift, Rust and more—it's about the concepts more than the language!

This is a new group so we will learn the format that works best over time. I suspect the community in BKK is small, so we may not find a speaker to present a talk every time, we might instead have interactive group sessions like show-and-tell introducing one another to our favorite languages and libraries, articles and books we've read, and so on.

We seek to foster a welcoming cross-cultural community and will consider presentations in English and Thai. If you have an idea for a topic you'd like to present or see, please share it with the organizers!
