Mothers Day has special poignancy for women who have lost their moms. Let's get together today to toast and celebrate their lives, brag about them, share pictures, and have some fun remembering our mothers with fondness, laughter, and joy. (If you considered your grandmother, aunt, or other woman to be like a real mom to you, you're also invited.)

Blue Heron exit 76
Go east about 3 miles
Pass US-1/Broadway
Go over the big Blue Heron bridge
Pass Phil Foster, Lake, and West
Turn left at Park (Singer Island Health on corner)
Park dead-ends into our Sugar Sands village
Look to the left for building 1201
Come to unit #6 downstairs

Sugar Sands is not a gated community. Park free in the cul-de-sac at the end of the block, or in any GUEST spot (parking lot). If you park on street in front of the building, please be sure you're not blocking the yellow stripe.

FROM CRIS …..Mother, mother...she who gives birth to and nurtures her offspring, that which springs off of her very nature and goes on to live a llfe of its own. She who is recognized on many levels: the Mother of storms, the Mother of invention, the Mother of earth, air, fire and water. Our family forgot to honor our mother on a Mother's Day long ago, and she showed us what that felt like by walking out of the house, away from our Sunday after-church dinner, and into the movie theater in our small town to watch a movie by herself. We, none of us, knew where she had gone, and I was frantic she had gone forever. That forever was many, many hours that Sunday, and I've never forgotten how she felt, how I felt, how she took care of her Self on that day, gathering herself together before returning to the fold. On this Mother's Day, we’ll pay attention to the gatherings of women all over the world, to young mothers beneath the wings of older mothers, to mother whales, to lesbian mothers, to forgotten mothers and forgiven mothers, to women taking control of their lives and their bodies, to mothers here and mothers gone, and to Mother Earth and her mystery. Please join us as we celebrate our Mothers.

Official registration starts at 6pm. Come as early as 5:15pm if you can. The sooner we get women registered, the sooner the tournament can begin. We will keep it moving without delays.

ABOUT THIS TOURNAMENT …
• Single-elimination - standard American 8 Ball
• Winner gets trophy and 75% of the prize pool
• 2nd place gets 25% of the prize pool
• You're invited to participate even if you're not very skilled - this event is really just for fun.

COST & WHAT TO BRING …
• Only $10 to enter the tournament.
• Bring $$ to buy a couple of drinks (alcoholic or nonalcoholic) and to tip the bartenders.
• You can bring in food but no outside drinks please.
