All levels of Kayakers are welcome. Water is flat.
We will be heading west toward Lockport and the locks but not through the locks
As always, everyone MUST wear your US Coast Guard approved Personal Floatation Device and have a whistle at the ready to participate in any of our paddle events. If your PFD is too uncomfortable to wear, than you have the wrong size and I suggest looking into getting a new one before attending.
All around 360 white light is preferred. USCG also approves of oar powered vessels may elect to operate with an electric flashlight or lantern as well.
How the attending list works. Each week is set for RSVP maximum list of attending. Some paddles will be opened up for more or even unlimited attendees. The numbers are derived for safety precaution, as well as launch site location, paddle area restrictions, waterway accommodating, etc. As we get closer to the date, if you have RSVP'd yes and cannot attend, please change your RSVP to NO which allows the first person on the wait-list to take your spot. If there are repeat offenders that have RSVP yes and are a "No show" continuously - you will be removed from our group. Please change your RSVP accordingly.
As always, by participating in this or any other of our Buffalo Paddle People meetup paddles is always your own choice and at your own risk. By participating in one of our paddle meetups, you, your family member's and your guests' (all participants) fully understand and accept all risks and agree to forever release, hold harmless and indemnify BPP and activity organizers, as well as their families, from any injury, damages or death resulting from participation in an activity. To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY the BPP Meetup group and its organizers from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries, personal or property, and while participating in or travelling to or from the activity.
In short, by participating in a BPP activity you accept and assume all risks and full responsibility for losses, costs and damages for yourself, your children and your guests.
