Around the Table: Games, Geeks and Drinks

The founding dragons invite you to study the mystical arts at Strixhaven University!

Look for cards from Lorehold, Quandrix, and the other three colleges to help you with your studies. You may even find rarities from the Mystical Archive as you unravel the Secrets of Strixhaven!

Join us at Around the Table Game Pub for 3 sessions of Sealed Deck play: Friday @ 7pm, Saturday @ Noon, and Sunday @ 2pm. Plus a session of 2HG Saturday @ 7pm!

Enjoy our newly-remodeled space, partake in our themed drinks, exclusive to these events, and above all, have a great time!

Here’s a look at each of our events and what’s special about each:

Friday, April 17th at 7pm -- The Red Eye
• The event starts promptly at 7pm.
• The event will be 3 rounds, so expect to be done about 11:30pm.

Saturday, April 18th at Noon -- The Main Event
• The event starts promptly at Noon.
• The event will be 4 rounds, so expect to play for about 5 hours.

Saturday, April 18th at 7pm -- Two-Headed Giant
• The event starts promptly at 7pm.
• Registration is for two-person teams, not individuals, so make sure we know who your teammate is.

Sunday, April 19th at 2pm -- Sunday Fun
• The event starts promptly at 2pm.
• The event will be 4 rounds, so expect to play for about 5 hours.

Inside each Prerelease box, there will be:
• 6 Secrets of Strixhaven Play Boosters
• 1 Traditional Foil Rare/Mythic with a year stamp
• Spindown life counter

The cost to register for this tournament is $29.99 + tax.

All ages and skill-levels are welcome. Prizes will include 1 Play booster pack per person and more for the top places.

Parking is very tight right now, and parking along the sidewalk in front of the building will not be allowed for the event. We've arranged for extra parking next door, just south of us, in the architect/insurance lot. Please take advantage of this and allow those with limited mobility to have the close spots!

An ancient evil is stirring. You are part of a team of unlikely heroes engaged in an international struggle to stop the gathering darkness. The effort may drain your sanity and cripple your body, but if you fail, the Ancient One will awaken and rain doom upon the known world.

Eldritch Horror is a cooperative game for one to eight players, based on the fiction of H.P. Lovecraft and inspired by the classic board game Arkham Horror. In Eldritch Horror, investigators travel the globe in an urgent quest to save the world from a diabolical, omnipotent Ancient One. With 16 different Ancient Ones, 55 investigators, numerous monsters, and hundreds of possible encounters, every game provides a unique and epic adventure.

Join David and Cindy to learn and play this great co-operative game! Can't make it here by 6:00? No problem! Get here when you can, and your investigator can jump right into the thick of things. (Be advised that games typically run from three to four and a half hours.)

If you RSVP, but you cannot attend, please un-RSVP. Seating is limited and we reserve 4 tables at the store. If you un-RSVP, someone else can join or we can give up two of the tables so that other patrons can use the space as well. Thank you.

Hone your minis painting skills and enjoy a night of casual conversation at Around the Table's Paint & Sip Minis Night! Entry is free; just come and ... well, paint.

Amateurs and Pros alike are often on hand to answer questions and provide tips, and if you don't bring your own supplies you can also buy a kit and/or miniatures from the shop -- we even have a buy-2-get-1-free special on 'Reaper' brand minis. 🙂
