🌲 Una de las rutas más bonitas de senderismo cerca de Madrid.
San Rafael es conocido por sus montañas siempre verdes cubiertas de pinos, con numerosos senderos y pequeños ríos. El punto más destacado de esta excursión es el Refugio de Cueva Valiente, un refugio muy bien restaurado a 1.915 m de altitud, con impresionantes vistas y restos históricos de la Guerra Civil.
📌 Nota: Iremos y volveremos a Madrid en el mismo día. Tendremos tiempo para hacer picnic en plena naturaleza, así que esta vez trae suficiente comida. Caminaremos a un ritmo normal, con pausas para fotos . Al finalizar la ruta, iremos a un bar local para tomar algo.

• Punto de encuentro: estación subterránea de Nuevos Ministerios, andén nº 1.
• Hora de encuentro: 09:45 h (salida 10:08 h).
• Compra tu billete online en Renfe

• Botas de senderismo.
• Ropa cómoda y jersey.
• Gorro de verano, gafas de sol y crema solar.
• Almuerzo, snacks y mínimo 1,5 L de agua.

(Comenzaremos la ruta tras un café o desayuno en el pueblo de San Rafael).

Hike / Event full information 👇
One of the Beautiful Hiking Trail outside Madrid. San Rafael is famous for all time green mountains ( covered by pine tress) with many hiking trails and small Rivers. The most interesting part is Refugio de cueva valiente. A very well restored refuge with incredible views with Altitude 1.915m from the sea level and There are many remains of the civil war.
Note: We will be going and coming back to Madrid on the same day. we will try to enjoy the maximum of this lovely hiking trail. This time come with enough food because we will have enough time to do picnic in the middle of nature. we will go with normal pace, taking breaks for photos and snacks. At the end of hike we will go to a Local bar for Drinks.

We will meet at underground cercanías train station at Nuevos Ministerios. Platform Number 1 at 9:45am. the trian is leaving at 10:08 am. Please buy your ticket online from Renfe website. Link: https://www.renfe.com/es/en/experiences . our Departure station will be Nuevos miniterios, and distination station will be San Rafael.

Both ways (Roud Trip) ticket cost is 14.80€.

People with Abono joven or Zone C2 Card Holders : You need to buy Ticket from Cerdedilla to San Rafael. Roud trip cost will be 4€.

Our Train (Renfe) line is C8 and this train will pass by, Chamartin, Ramon y Cajal, Pitis, Villaalba and cercedilla Station. so you can join us from your nearest cercanias Station. if you will joining us from different stations please check and confirm the train arrival timing by own. if someone miss the train, it will be not our responsibility and we will not wait.

BY CAR: You can come by Car. meet us at San Rafael Cercanias Station at 11:30am. Google maps: bit.ly/40Drg9R This station has own large Parking Area. if you want to share your car and fuel charges, please mention your whatsapp number, pickup point and departure time in the chat of this event.

We will start the hike after the breakfast or just a coffee at the town of San Rafael. It is necessary to bring hiking shoes, Comfy clothes, summer cap, Sun Glasses, Sun protection Cream. Your lunch, Snacks and 1.5L water (minimum).
in case of rain please come with rain Jacket.

The Charges are only 10€. Cash in hand at the end of hike. The Price (10€) includes only Hike guide, everyone must pay by own public transport charges, which are mention above. if you want insurance, It is possible to arrange a personalized accident insurance for only 5€ providing name, surname and ID/Passport Number.

🥾🌲 ¡Escápate del calor del verano! – Ruta por el Camino Schmidt
Nivel: Medio | Distancia: 13 km | Desnivel: 316 m | Ruta circular 🔁
¿Buscas un respiro del calor de Madrid? 🌞 Esta ruta es perfecta: temperaturas más frescas, mucha sombra gracias a los frondosos bosques de pinos y un entorno de montaña espectacular 🌄🌲.
Recorreremos el histórico Camino Schmidt (PR-M-5), un sendero de montaña lleno de encanto que une el Puerto de Navacerrada con el refugio de la Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara.
Fue marcado por primera vez en 1926 por Eduardo Schmidt, un montañero de origen extranjero (probablemente alemán, aunque algunos dicen austriaco o suizo). Un personaje algo misterioso en la historia del montañismo español 🧭🇩🇪.
El sendero atraviesa los bosques de pino silvestre de Valsaín por la ladera norte y desciende hacia Cercedilla por la ladera sur 🌲🍃.

🚌 ¿Cómo llegar?
En transporte público (bus):
Nos reunimos en Moncloa, Isla 2, Dársena 21 para tomar el bus 691 a las 09:00h (llega a las 08:45h para no perderlo).
💶 El precio del bus es de 10,20€ ida y vuelta.
✅ Con abono joven es gratis.
🧾 El conductor solo acepta efectivo (billetes de 5€ o 10€).

En coche:
Puedes venir en tu coche y encontrarnos en el Puerto de Navacerrada sobre las 10:15h, en el Restaurante Dos Castillos.

Hiking. We’re going to steadily hike up from Navacerrada Pueblo into the vast, Valle de la Barranca. We’re going to follow one of the best sections of trail in Madrid, up to lunch at the jaw dropping views at the Mirador de las Canchas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hike info:
This medium difficulty hike is 14km long with 450m of elevation change. We’ll take‪ 5 around ‬hours to walk it. The path is a mix of single track and wider trails. There are few steep and slippery sections. We‘ll begin in Navacerrada and walk into the Valle de la Barranca. Then we'll start hiking the Senda Ortiz, one of the best trails in Madrid. Coming back to Madrid: 5 or 6pm.

BY BUS: We are meeting at underground Moncola Bus Station. find us at Isla 2, Dársena 21, BUS 691 at 08:30AM for the 08:45AM departure.

Please bring change or a 5€ or 10€ bill for the bus driver. 10.20€ round trip on the bus. The bus is free if you have the abono joven and reduced if you have an abono for outside the center!

BY CAR: You can also drive by your car and meet us at navacerrada town ( Restaurante Félix el Segoviano, Paseo de los Españoles, Navacerrada) we will reach at navacerrada town aprox 10:00am by bus.

Food: Your Lunch and snacks. Water 1.5L. please bring enough water or drinks for yourself. warm jersey or Jacket, depends on day weather. sun screen, sun glasses. Hiking shoes or shoes with nice Grip. Happy mood can be a Plus.
in case of rain please come with Rain jacket in backpack.

3. All our hiking events are lead by experience hiking guide, who sets the pace of the group, stops, etc. The Guide have the Right to block the person from the Group in case of misbehave, bad vibes or messing with other members of the Group.

4. All our events are accessible by Madrid Public Transport. We do not offer any type of Travel or Accident insurance.
