Museo del Estanquillo: Arte, Cultura y Conversacion

This time we’ll meet to visit the Museo del Estanquillo, a unique space in the Historic Center of Mexico City that houses the collection of writer and cultural critic Carlos Monsiváis. It will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy art and, if you’d like, also practice English conversation in a relaxed and natural way.
Current exhibitions we’ll explore:

• Roberto Ruiz, Giant of Miniature: Over 600 tiny sculptures carved in bone, full of detail and creativity.
• Visual Bipolarity: A contemporary proposal by Marisa Lara and Arturo Guerrero.

No advanced English level is required, the practice is optional, and the most important thing is to enjoy the art and the company.

• Although Meetup limits RSVPs to 10 people, the event is open to everyone who would like to join us.

• Admission to the museum is free on the day of the event, and participating in the meetup is also free.

En esta ocasión nos reuniremos para visitar el Museo del Estanquillo, un espacio único en el Centro Histórico de la CDMX que alberga la colección de Carlos Monsiváis. Será una gran oportunidad para disfrutar del arte y, si lo desean, también practicar la conversación en inglés de manera natural y relajada.
Exposiciones actuales que podremos ver:

• Roberto Ruiz, Gigante de la miniatura: Más de 600 esculturas diminutas talladas en hueso, llenas de detalle y creatividad.
• Bipolaridad visual: Una propuesta contemporánea de Marisa Lara y Arturo Guerrero.

No se requiere nivel avanzado de inglés, la práctica es opcional y lo importante es disfrutar el arte y la compañía.
