Why was this started?
I launched this event a year ago with the below inspiration/intention:
"I’ve been traveling for 6 years, lived here in BA, and have always learned the most by connecting with locals. It’s a favorite part of this lifestyle. I’ve also picked up many travel tips I WISH I knew earlier but had to learn the hard way. This event is designed to help share the best tips and tricks from varied perspectives ( nomads, locals, and expats).

Plus, giving back to local communities is a *huge* part of the impact we can leave behind in this lifestyle. Nomads Giving Back’s mission is just that, giving back to the local communities we call ‘home away from home’ and nurturing connections between foreigners and locals. 🎉🌀 For more, check out the Nomads Giving Back and Nomads Skillshare communities."

How is it evolving?
I’m back in Buenos Aires and here to stay this year. I’m thrilled to collaborate with Caroline Kowalczyk, a fellow expat who shares a deep appreciation for this city and community building. We are excited to co-host this as a monthly event. Our goal is to continue the event based on the intentions above, with some new intentions for the event below.

In full transparency, we’d love to share our intentions for hosting these monthly events:

• Fostering community building
• Creating deeper connections
• Encouraging cross-cultural connection & awareness
• In-person connection (Given many of us are working on screen and in the virtual world daily)
• Learning and sharing from diverse perspectives
• Tapping into local wisdom and gathering tips from experienced travelers

We can't wait to see how it grows and evolves this year. 🎉

• Knowledge share between the groups
• Keep enjoying great company, drinks, and delicious food!
