A relaxed, focused study hour for past or current A2 students in the 10-week course. You’ll meet online once a week to work through the exact homework from your current modules. You get structure and gentle accountability without turning it into a full lesson.

Past and current A2 learners enrolled in the 10-week program who want a quiet space to complete homework and maintain momentum between classes.

**How It Works (60 minutes)**

Each week, you will work through modules covered earlier in the course. Nicole, the host, will decide which modules are included in that week’s session.

**What You’ll Get**

Nicole is one of our trusted student collaborators and not a French teacher. She may not provide in-depth explanations but she will follow the answer key for the exercises or the weekly exam discussed during the session.

**What To Bring**

Your A2 course document for the current week, your homework list, a notebook or doc for answers. Camera on is encouraged; microphone on only during Q&A.

We stay strictly within the A2 curriculum you are currently studying. This is not a replacement for class or a one-to-one tutoring session.

**Strengthen your French through focused practice in our regular Saturday Drill Sessions**: Interactive events designed to help learners master some of the most challenging and frequently used structures in French.

**These sessions are free and open to everyone**, whether you are a member of The French Club, or simply looking for a supportive environment to practice and improve your French.

**These sessions take place on Saturday evenings from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm (New York time)** and are open to any number of participants. Anyone motivated to improve their accuracy, confidence, and fluency in French is welcome to join. These sessions are generally most useful for learners around the A2 to B2 levels, but all motivated participants are welcome.

Each session focuses on one specific area of French that learners often find difficult. Over time, we hope to explore eight key topics that frequently cause confusion or hesitation in real communication. The sessions will rotate through themes such as:
• French past tenses, especially *imparfait* and *passé composé*
• Direct and indirect object pronouns
• Affirmative and negative questions
• Sentence structure and word order
• Common verb patterns
• Useful connectors and transitions
• Expressions of time and sequence
• Other high-impact grammar points used in everyday French

**The goal of these sessions** is not to deliver a traditional lecture, but rather to create a dynamic training environment where participants actively work with the language through guided drills, repetition, examples, and short exercises.
During the session, participants may practice building sentences, correcting common mistakes, responding quickly to prompts, and repeating key structures aloud. These short drills help develop automaticity and fluency, allowing learners to react more naturally and confidently in real conversations.

Because these are drill sessions rather than formal classes, each session can be attended independently. The eight topics will be revisited periodically, so missing one session does not prevent you from joining future sessions.

Come join our friendly Wednesday evening French conversation group hosted by Cindy, a dedicated student of *The French Club*.

This weekly session offers a relaxed and supportive environment to practice speaking French, strengthen your vocabulary, and build confidence in expressing yourself spontaneously.

Each week, participants enjoy an informal conversation about a short video in French. The video link is posted in advance in the comments section to allow time for attendees to view the video on their own. The meetup time is a group discussion of the video in French. Time permitting, we may also read and discuss a short story in French.

It’s a practical and encouraging way to boost fluency and learn new expressions. It also helps just keeping your French alive through weekly practice.

Each meeting lasts about one hour and is open to learners of the A2 level only and who are comfortable speaking a bit of French. Bring your curiosity, a sense of humor, and a willingness to participate — that’s all you need.

**What to Expect**
This free weekly workshop is designed primarily for A2 and B1 learners who want to strengthen their reading comprehension, speaking ability, and ability to translate their thoughts from English to French, in a structured and supportive environment. Beginners will also benefit by hearing French read aloud and broken down into clear English.

As participants gain confidence, English articles may also be read and translated into French. These sessions aim to build confidence in reading, pronunciation, and vocabulary by understanding words and expressions in context.

Beginners are welcome to attend, listen, and benefit from exposure to spoken French and guided explanations.
