Name: Building Product For Toddlers
Start: 2026-10-22T17:00:00.000Z
Location: eDreams International Network

**Hi Product People in Düsseldorf! 👋**

Everyone's now building and shipping products with GenAI. But the challenge still lies with understanding if and when and by how much is the use of GenAI paying off? 💰

Join us for an interesting panel discussion on the ROI of AI, in the products we build and in the teams that build them. We'll bring together product people and professionals that are building or have built such products and dive into how they cut through the hype and get them to share what's working from their experience.

**Note: We still have one free slot for the panel**. If you are a product manager that has relevant experience on the topic or know someone who would be a good fit, please reach out to us and we'll take it from there.

**Please note:**
The **IN-PERSON** event is RSVP only: to enter, you must RSVP here on Meetup.
**Timings:**
18:30: Arrival
19:00 - 19:10: Hello from ProductTank Düsseldorf

P.T. Düsseldorf #24 - Measuring & Evaluating AI ROI

sipgate GmbH

**Connecting business goals with outcomes and everyday product work**
Why is it still so difficult for product teams to clearly explain how their work contributes to business goals?

Impact Mapping is a simple but powerful tool that helps teams connect the dots between “what are we building?” and “why does this matter?” by connecting

* Business goals
* Actors
* Behavioural changes and outcomes
* Concrete solutions

In this hands-on crash course, we will build an impact map together based on an example goal. Step by step, you will practise connecting:

Goal → Actor → Outcome → Solution

You’ll leave with a clear mental model you can immediately apply in product discovery, roadmap discussions, or strategy conversations.

Agenda
17.45 Doors open
18.00 Impact Mapping Workshop
19.15 Networking
20.00 End of event

**Who is this workshop for?**
Designed for Product Managers, Product Designers, and Product Engineers. The number of participants is limited to keep it hands-on.

**Thank you to our sponsor Liip!**

6:45 p.m. – Josef M. Winkler & Andreas Wünsche – „Behavioural Design: What Makes People Click?"
\~7:45 p.m. – Networking and drinks, open end
##############

**Discover how behavioural science and product psychology may help you design products and services people actually use.**

Why do people click, hesitate, abandon a process or choose one option over another?

And more importantly: what can you do with that knowledge when designing digital products and services?

In this interactive session, you’ll explore the psychology behind everyday decisions and discover how insights from behavioural economics and cognitive science can make your product experiences more intuitive, persuasive and effective.

You’ll see how seemingly small design choices can have a surprisingly big impact. From helping customers make decisions with less effort to encouraging desired behaviours and creating smoother, more satisfying experiences — Behavioural Design gives you a practical toolkit for influencing how people interact with your product and your services.

We’ll also look beyond clicks and conversions. What does Behavioural Design mean for customer satisfaction, product performance and ultimately your business?

Bringing real-world and everyday examples to the session, Andreas and Josef will show you where behavioural principles are already at work, why they matter and how you and your team can start applying them in your product development process.

This session is definitely for your if you work in product, marketing, design or development and want to better understand what really drives your customers.

Behavioural Design: What Makes People Click?

KOLEO

Hey, Valencia product people! 👋

Our October ProductTank event is ready, and you’re invited!
This time, we’re exploring **machine learning for product people**, with an expert speaker to help us make sense of the topic and what it means for our work.

📍 **New venue:** We’ll be hosted by **[Deutsche Telekom IT](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Yyyrmjd8b42kYapJ8)**[ ](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Yyyrmjd8b42kYapJ8)this time, so make sure you head to the right location!

**About the talk**

Machine learning can create product capabilities that would be extremely difficult or impossible to build with manually written rules alone.

It can also fail silently, behave differently as users and data change, improve a model’s test score without improving the product, and turn a seemingly simple feature into an open-ended research project.

ML is not just another backend service. Unlike ordinary software, you cannot fully define its behavior in advance and expect it to remain stable. It depends on data, requires continuous testing and monitoring, and almost every attempt to improve it involves uncertainty and experimentation.

In this talk, we will explore:
\- when ML is the right tool\, and when a simpler solution is better
\- how to plan effort\, timelines\, and expected impact when the outcome is uncertain
\- what data\, infrastructure\, testing\, monitoring\, and clear ownership ML products require
\- why better model metrics do not always lead to better product outcomes

The goal is not to scare product teams away from ML, but to make its real costs, risks, and requirements visible before committing to it.

And one more friendly reminder

Machine Learning: Your Product’s Superpower and Worst Nightmare

Av. del Marqués de Sotelo, 6

Your users can't read. They can't tell you what they want. They lose interest in seconds, and they aren't the ones paying.

***Welcome to building products for toddlers!***

Designing for the youngest users turns most product playbooks upside down. Discovery means watching rather than asking.

And success isn't just engagement: parents want products that calm, teach and respect their children's time, not ones that keep them hooked.

**Irene will explain what do you do when you’re a startup without a large marketing team and you can’t afford to run experiments constantly?**

*Using the real-world case of MiniTales, we’ll explore how research, data, and user behavior analysis can help uncover what truly drives conversion and turn those insights into product decisions.*

*A journey through decisions that worked, hypotheses that didn’t, and unexpected learnings about how people actually use a product.*

*And above all, how to grow a business through product when you have to be very deliberate about what to research, what to build, and where to invest your resources.*

**Andrea will share with us real-life cases from those moments when you step out of the screens and the Product Manager's cave, observe your users in their natural habitat, and discover that many of the hypotheses generated with AI weren’t quite right after all.**

*She’ll talk about why some product problems can only be solved by looking, not just measuring, and by getting out from behind a screen.*

*And she’ll explore the following question: in the midst of the AI boom, do we really believe we can build and iterate on products without seeing how real people actually use them?*

Join ProductTank Madrid for an evening with two product leaders who build products for kids and who will share their challenges, learning and insights from real day-to-day experience.

They'll share how they research, design, measure and grow products for an audience that will never fill in a survey.

**What you'll hear**

* How to do discovery and testing with users who can't explain themselves
* Designing for two audiences at once: the child who uses it and the parent who chooses it
* What "good engagement" means when you care about wellbeing, not screen time
* Building accessible and inclusive experiences for every child
* Lessons from launching and growing kids' products in Spain
