L Community’s Lesbian Pub Socials
A women-only network for lesbians and bisexual women – online, offline, or both.
We run relaxed events across London and through our private app. Some women come for friendship. Some for dating. Some just to feel seen. Most come alone. Most leave connected.
This space is for biological females only. That boundary is clear, and our hosts uphold it. If that’s a problem, this isn’t your group.
Women in their 20s to 70s regularly attend. The atmosphere is calm, grounded, and respectful – no pressure, no performance.
Why It Exists
This isn’t a side project. It’s infrastructure.
L Community is building the first dual system of:
– 100% female-run and member-built.
– a women-only app (live now)
– A CIC fighting to open the first female-only lesbian venue in London, after Southwark Council blocked our lawful application and gave the space to others. We’re not backing down.
We run this without institutional funding. That means every banner, every platform feature, every reply to a DM is paid for by women not brands, not donors, not anyone else.
We suggest:
£7 per in-person event
£3.50 per digital event
This helps cover staffing, hosting, app bugs, moderation, legal costs, and operations.

A weekly Zoom mingle for women across the UK and abroad. Women come from their 20s to their 60s – some brand new, some regulars. It is usually 50% new members and 50% returning members. Most come solo, you will not feel it. If you are nervous, join the WhatsApp group (details below).When

Southwark Council blocked a lawful women-only lesbian venue in a council-controlled railway arch. That refusal has become a test of the law.
This is the first UK case designed to enforce Schedule 3 in practice for a women-only service since the Supreme Court confirmed that woman in law means biological sex. A ruling here will be recorded and cited. It will set how councils apply the Equality Act when they allocate public assets.

A weekly in-person night for drinks and conversation.
This is a relaxed evening for chatting, meeting new women, and building real connections. Women come from their 20s to their 60s – some brand new, some regulars. It is usually half new members and half returning, so you will never feel like the only newcomer. Most arrive solo, and we make sure you will not feel it.
If you are nervous, the WhatsApp group is the best place to start. Many women join there first, so by the time they come along they already recognise a few names. It is also used for daily chat between events, which makes it easier to feel part of things straight away.
