South Bay Indoor / Outdoor Activities Group (SBIO)

Join us for a moderate, approximately 5.5-mile hike to the top of St. Joseph's Hill

Due to limited parking, we'll meet at the Los Gatos Library (100 Villa Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95030) and walk up together from there.

The start time is 6:00 pm, and we should finish before sunset, around 8:30 pm.

Numbers are limited for this hike due to permit requirements. If you don't plan to attend, please update your status to 'not attending' so someone else can take your place.

Please bring: plenty of water, layered clothing, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, hiking poles, snacks, and a camera. Don't forget to wear a hat and sunglasses, and apply sunscreen.

The hike is considered a moderately challenging intermediate hike. It takes an average of 2 hours to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running, and it can still afford us some peaceful and quiet moments during our afternoon hike. If you are not confident about doing a 5.4 mile hike in 2 hours, then this might not be a hike for you.

Besides hiking, good exercise, and pleasant conversations, we also enjoy making new friends and building good and solid relationships with old friends.

PARKING: LOT #6 NEAR PUBLIC BATHROOM. If the #6 is full, please go to park @ #5 #4........ Etc..

When you pull in the entrance, make the right turn right away, drive straight to find LOT#6, and the big bathroom building right on the left. You won't miss it.

As a group, we are following current county guidelines that do not require face masks.

PLEASE try NOT to bring up the inflammatory subjects that can easily lead to arguments such as politics, religion, genders, racism etc..

Also, please be nice, kind, and help us welcome new members who join us for the first time and make them feel like one of us.

*We are an intermediate hike group. Please be ready to keep up hiking with us from 5 miles to 8 miles without any health issues. If you don't work out, hiking a minimum 3-5 miles regularly, this hiking event may not be good for you.

I used to play this HUGE chess Games like this at Santana Row in the middle of Piazza, but now I have this Gigantic Chess Set in my BACKYARD!!😍
