À propos de ce groupe

Meet local fans of live music while enjoying live performances at great venues across the city. Montreal is an amazing city for live music and is often referred to as the festival capital of Canada. There are world class performers booked almost every day of the week at different venues across town with top headliners booked most weekends. The focus of this group is live music & concerts but not for any one particular genre of music. You do not have to be a serious fan of any specific artist/genre to attend any of the shows, just a fan of live music in general. Who knows, you might even meet some cool people with similar musical tastes who become your concert-buddies for the summer. The point is to have fun!

Sometimes there will be non-music events posted if they are on theme like sporting events or food festivals that have a live music component onsite [Chromatic, Fringe Festival, Sugar Shacks, Salada Market, Taste Of The Caribbean, Nuit Blanche, Asian Night Market, ELEKTRA, Festival of Lions, Pride, Comiccon, Formula 1, YUL Eat, JFL, etc]. There's usually a cover charge for most weekend/headliner events however many weekday events are free* [or near free] to attend.

Most venues are located downtown close to transit/metro stations so come for the music, camaraderie, & libations, or just to try something new and have a good time!

*Meetup fees will only be charged for events & venues that are ticketed, have cover-charge, and/or require reservations & serious commitment.

J.S. ONDARA @ Club Soda - TICKETS REQUIRED - $30

Attend an amazing show by one of the hottest up and coming artists in the folk genre. Easily the breakout star for this year’s festival will be singer J.S. Ondara, come see the future star in an intimate venue before he becomes super famous. Minneapolis based Nairobi-born singer-songwriter offers a fresh perspective on his adopted country's promise and failings. “I compare it to the first time Norah Jones played in 2003 at Club Soda. Everybody that was there remembers that night. I think for J.S. Ondara, people will have the same type of feeling. They’ll say: I saw him at Club Soda in 2019 and it was amazing!” - Laurent Saulnier, VP MTL Jazz Fest Tickets are $29.99 [tax + fees incl., e-delivery] for general admission and currently available using the link below.
