This is Eugene's oldest city park with 200 year old Douglas fir trees and lots of hiking trails, the walk starts near the Rhododendron Garden and a variety of native species of plants. There are occasional glimpses of the surrounding areas and the University of Oregon. Come and enjoy the nice trails and the clean air of this area. Pets are welcome but all leash and clean up laws apply. You must register and carry a start card. SOME TRAILS HAVE LOOSE GRAVEL, WALKING STICK A PLUS.
There will be a 5k and 10k route. Start anytime between 9 and noon.

Directions: From I-5 SOUTH BOUND - Exit 191 Right on Glenwood Drive, Right on Glenwood Blvd. Crossing over I-5 take an immediate Right Salem/Portland North. Then take exit 192 (University of Oregon) From left turn lane go under 1-5 ramp, then turn Right onto Sylvan road.
Immediate left still Sylvan. Stay on Sylvan which crosses Bristol, Sylavan becomes Floral hill Drive. Left on Fairmont to parking area. From I-5
NORTH BOUND - Take exit 192 and follow as above From highway 99 Go east on 569 Springfield, Take exit 13 (South Roseburg) Follow directions for I-5 South Bound. There will be AVA WALK signs at strategic points to aide folks with directions to the start.
