We are pleased to invite you to our third edition of our semi-annual R meetup, adminR - R in Official Statistics. This time, we meet at the University of Fribourg. The Statistical Office of the Canton of Fribourg sponsors snacks and drinks, the University of Fribourg provides the venue. Thank you very much!

Reto Messikommer introduces the Statistical Office of the Canton of Fribourg and shows how it uses R for various tasks. The Statistical Office is also sponsor of this meetup.

Introducing the Group for Applied Statistics and Modeling

Laurent Donzé is Professor and head of the group for Applied Statistics and Modeling at the University of Fribourg. He introduces his research Group and shows us how they use R in their daily work.

Demographical Long-Term Financing of the Swiss Social Insurances

The Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO) ensures the smooth functioning of the Swiss social security system. Since July 2017, the Mathematics team has worked on developing an R Package which now allows computing annual budgets of the OASI annual reports as well as the financial consequences of reforms such as the Tax Proposal and AHV Financing (TRAF) which was adopted in May 2019 by the Swiss citizen.
