General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will come into force on the 25th May 2018 and is the largest European data regulation ever adopted with massive financial implication for anyone who will not comply.

This meetup will be the occasion to discuss what is GDPR and if blockchain solutions can achieve GDPR compliance.

Aurélie Bayle, Data Protection Officer at Almerys
Aurélie is a LLB, and holds a master degree in competition law and new technologies. Currently, she is PhD student in private law at the University of Montpellier, working on the blockchain technology facing GDPR’s impacts, and she is also Data Protection Officer at Almerys (be-ys group). She has been legal advisor on different blockchain projects, including H2020 program. Additionally, she is GDPR consultant and conference speaker about digital identity, eHealth, blockchain legal aspects and data protection regulations. She is co-founder of several groups dedicated to blockchain, including Civis Blockchain in Montpellier.

Vincent Rémon, Blockchain & Cybersecurity Leader at Onepoint
Vincent is leading the Blockchain and Cyber-Security communities at onepoint. An engineer with a passion for development, algorithms and encryption since childhood, he has nearly 20 years of experience in project management in trading room IT, which gives him a rigorous vision of information systems and transverse architectures.

Bruno Rasle, Executive Director at AFCPD
AFCPD is the French Association of Correspondents for Personal Data Protection. Bruno is also a board member of the Specialized Master "Management and Protection of Personal Data" at ISEP. He is the co-author of Halte au Spam in 2003.

Moritz Walther, Consultant at DXC Technology (CSC / Hewlett Packard Entreprise) and author of a bachelorthesis entitled "Blockchain Technology and GDPR Compliance".
