Merchant Adoption

New location! We are now meeting at the Beach Hut Deli on the second Wednesday of every month.

The Beach Hut Deli is the first merchant in Bend to accept Bitcoin and to celebrate the Bend Bitcoin Meetup is meeting there with the topic of Merchant Adoption. We'll hear how this came about and what it means going forward.

Merchant adoption increases Bitcoin's utility as currency. As more businesses accept Bitcoin, consumer incentives to hold and use Bitcoin increase. Each new merchant adds value to the entire network.
