Note: this event was originally scheduled to be a talk on nuclear energy. Due to unforeseen circumstances, that talk had to be cancelled.

Join us for an evening with our guest speaker Phil Walder to reflect on the current state of humanist funeral ceremonies in the UK, and for a memorable tour through the decades of intriguing stories from his work as a celebrant.

Phil Walder
Phil has been an active member of Humanist UK for over 20 years and has been a trained and accredited celebrant for 12 years.

Phil creates and lead memorable and meaningful non-religious funerals, celebrations of life, memorials, and ash ceremonies. Each humanist ceremony is unique and custom-made, and is an authentic reflection of the individual's life and values.

He has performed ceremonies in unconventional places, and for everyone from a Supreme Court judge to a South London gangster.

To contact Phil regarding his celebrant work, see his Humanist Ceremonies profile here.
