Hightop Mountain Appalachian Trail Work Hike

Come join us in our efforts to clean and restore water bars and do other general maintenance on the historic Appalachian Trail. We will be working on the AT section that crosses Hightop Mountain in the Southern Section of the Shenandoah National Park. This work trip is open to all levels of experience but can be strenuous with digging, pruning, sawing, and moving branches & rocks. Bring appropriate clothing, work gloves, water, lunch-snack and maybe a folding Chair and a big smile. Tools will be provided. We will be meeting at the Hightop Parking Area located a little South of the Swift Run Gap Entrance Station. Carpooling is encouraged. If you have any questions, please reach out.
