La commande shell_plus est un des outils django-extensions couramment utilisé dans le monde du développement Django. Chez Kraken Technologies nous combinons shell_plus avec Jupyter notebook pour accéder aux objets Django dans les IDEs comme VS code ou encore PyCharm.

After the summer break, a meetup in October to meet at Octopus Energy who welcomes us for the occasion :)

• Django + Jupyter Notebook by Daniel Roy Greenfeld (English)

A common tool used in Django development is django-extensions’ venerable shell_plus command. At Kraken Tech we combine shell_plus with Jupyter notebook to access Django objects inside IDEs like VS code and PyCharm.
In this talk we will cover:

1. Running Jupyter notebook in VS Code or PyCharm so .ipynb files are indexed just like any other python file
2. Safely bringing into Jupyter notebook all the objects automatically imported by shell_plus
3. In Jupyter notebook generate instant parent class diagrams of any object, really useful for projects with sophisticated architectures
