We are proposing to watch a Hong Kong film Papa (爸爸), which is part of the 4th Festival du film Hongkongais de Paris (FFHKP).

The film starts at 14h (duration 130min) followed by an online discussion with the director. Depending on the number of participants, we may get a drink in a nearby café after the event.

About the film:
Papa, written and directed by Philip YUNG 翁子光, brings to the screen a family drama inspired by the murder of Rue Heung-Wo in 2010. In this true story, a son suffering from mental illness murders his mother and sister, leaving behind only his father, a devastated survivor.

The film, starring Sean LAU 劉青雲, Jo KOO 谷祖琳, Dylan SO 蘇文濤, and Lainey HUNG 熊諾頤, focuses on the aftermath: a father (played by LAU) consumed by guilt, confronted with silence, the memory of those who are gone, and the fragile need for dialogue with his son (played by SO).
