En 2017, comme tant d'autres militant.es internationalistes, Libre flot s'engage auprès des forces kurdes du Rojava pour défendre la révolution sociale alors attaquée par Daesh. À son retour, il est dans le viseur du Renseignement français qui, obsédé par les personnes revenues du front, échafaude autour de lui une affaire abracadabrante. Le 8 décembre 2020, Libre Flot est accusé avec six autres personnes «Â d'association de malfaiteurs terroriste ». Incarcéré près d'un an et demi en détention provisoire, il subit la «Â torture blanche » de l'isolement. Il écrit pour tâcher d'y survivre. Ses textes, d'une humanité bouleversante, auscultent la matière même de la conscience, qui s'atrophie inexorablement quand on la prive d'attachements.

In 2017, like so many other internationalist activists, Libre Flot joined the Kurdish forces in Rojava to defend the social revolution then under attack from ISIS. Upon his return, he found himself in the sights of French Intelligence, which, obsessed with those returning from the front, constructed a preposterous case around him. On December 8, 2020, Libre Flot was accused along with six other people of "terrorist conspiracy." Imprisoned for nearly a year and a half in pretrial detention, he suffered the "white torture" of solitary confinement. He wrote to try to survive. His texts, of a moving humanity, examine the very substance of consciousness, which inexorably atrophies when deprived of attachments.
