Détails

Agenda

- 16h45 : Reception of Attendees
- 17h00 : Welcome (Jacques Supcik Professor HEIA-FR, Daniel Gachet Professor HEIA-FR)

- 17h10 : Docker on embedded systems: what have we learned?

Asyril develops, produces and markets high-performance flexible feeding systems. Our unique patented 3-axis vibration technology and intelligent vision system are easy to integrate and allow for optimised speed, accuracy and flexibility.
Recently, Asyril has developed a new AI-based embedded vision system. During the development, Docker had become such a cornerstone of the application's architecture that we decided to integrate it into the final product.
This presentation will focus on our personal experience using Docker as a development and production tool on embedded systems.

Alexandre Burry & Cyril Jaquier (Asyril)

- 17h40 : A modern approach to VDI

The concept of VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) has been around for quite some time, but it has seen a renewed interest due to the shift to a remote or hybrid working environment.
Discover how embracing VDI could help your transition to remote work while maintaining security expectations. Leverage modern virtualization technologies to set up a fully functional development environment in the cloud in less time it takes to make a coffee, using OpenStack, Terraform and Visual Studio Code Remote Extensions.

Geoffrey Papaux

- 18h10 : Developing inside a Container

Nowadays, it is no longer necessary to demonstrate the benefits of containers for service production, and in this presentation, I will show other benefits that containers can bring to the development of software.
I will start with a brief introduction, explain the mechanism behind the technology, and I will then present a couple of real-world use cases. I will show how development containers helped me to address these cases and at the end of the presentation, you will know enough about this technique to apply it to your projects and improve your productivity.

Jacques Supcik (Professor HEIA-FR)

- 18h50 : Information HEIA-FR (Roland Scherwey, Professor HEIA-FR)
- 19h00 : Aperitif and Networking
