Christmas 2020 Hike Vol. II (Rocher de l'Église)

Let us do this again!

Alone on Christmas weekend, away from your family? No need to mope and home! Come break a sweat and enjoy a few.

This is a 4.13 mi (6.64km) hike with a 3,314 ft (~ 1000 meter) elevation change.

We will meet at Gare Grenoble, and walk to E-Line tram at Alsance Loraine. We then Take E-Tram towards the north west end, stop near Saint-Égrève, Pont de Vence, .

From there, we up the "petite mountain" to point "Rocher de l'Église" with a stop at Waypoint "Le Scialet" (View point)

NOTE: -IF- the path is blocked or too much snow, we will abort!

== What to Bring ==

All the standard hiking supplies (Water, Food)

Also start considering what soup or tea with which you fill you Thermos for a nice hot lunch at the top!

Recommendations additional on Supplies for this hike:

• Thermal/Long Underwear Base Layer
• Water resistant top layers
• Gloves and Balaclava
• Food and Snacks for a 3 hour hike.
• Water ( at least 1 Lt. ; it is easy to become dehydrated in Winter)
• Hand Warmers, Air Activated (gloves and body )
• Thermos with something warm to drink/eat (Soup / Tea / Coffee)

Remember the UV from the Sun can affect t, even if it 100% cloudy
