You have heard and read about FPGAs but you haven' t gone into FPGA development for real?

This session is a hands-on session on how to develop software modules on FPGAs.

It will be presented by a HW expert going from C source code to FPGA based on concrete examples, and will cover:

• (Xilinx) FPGA boards

• development and compilation environment

• debugging and profiling

• deployment onto boards

• integration into HW systems and services

By the end of the session, you should get some understanding of what a dev. cycle on FPGAs is about, pros and cons, and possibly ideas on using or integrating them into your current activity!
