Tout voir- Figure Painting Session 402b (female) GUY MÔQUET - long pose with a tutorLe Hasard Ludique, Paris45,00 EUR
Join us for an oil painting workshop instructed by John Kelly and learn the centuries-old techniques of academic figure oil painting. Working from a live model, you will learn, through demonstration and individualized instruction, to compose compelling images, portray the figure accurately, and construct a painting using underpainting, lean-to-fat layering, and glazing. The workshop is geared toward beginners who have never used oil paint, as well as artists who want to improve their skills or explore a different way of working. Easels are provided; however, please bring your own art supplies. If you are a beginner, a supply list is available from the tutor. Please contact John directly at jfkellydesign@gmail.com. The workshop is run in English.
About the tutor:
Born in Paris and raised in New York, John studied at the School of Visual Arts before pursuing a career as an art director and oil painter. He employs traditional oil painting methods while also painting alla prima. Influenced by Balthus, Degas, and traditional Japanese prints, his figurative work explores the psychology of the model and the viewer’s gaze. For more details, visit John’s website: johnkellyart.com.
“I am determined to help every one of my students create compelling pieces of art, learn the skills of the past, and combine them with each student’s modern sensibilities. I am looking forward to the amazing work we will do together.” – John KellyIMPORTANT: We offer a full refund if you cancel at least a week before the event.
