Win-win solution - benefits of Design Thinking in public services

Détails
“Design is one of the most important drivers of the quality of experience for users of services. For governments to remain credible to their citizens, they must treat the design quality of their services as seriously as the best businesses.” – Tim Brown, CEO and president, IDEO
We’re starting a new series of meet ups around Design Thinking, co-creation, innovation and creativity.
This time we would like to discuss the role of the human centred approach and co-creation in the design and improvement of public services. There are many reasons why Design Thinking is becoming a valuable method for governments. Recently, we’ve seen an increase in the number of governments implementing Design Thinking in their organisations, when for many years Design Thinking was considered as a great method just for business.
We would like to invite you to discuss a few questions:
How can we involve citizens in improving and creating new public services?
What are the benefits, but also what are the challenges?
How to start involving citizens in the co-creation of public services?
This time we are pleased to share a case study of the Luxembourg “Zesumme-Vereinfachen” platform, which will be presented by Martine Kerschen and Steve Glangé from the Ministry for Digitalisation. As well as the role of the Govtechlab in this respect by the Govtechlab team.
