"Automatic Object Removal: A Journey from Traditional Inpainting Techniques in Deep Learning to Diffusion Models" presented by Alice Lucas from Meero.
Meero utilizes AI to enhance real estate photos by automatically removing unwanted objects using their Magic Eraser tool, aiming to increase visual appeal for potential clients. They started with an open-source inpainting model but encountered challenges with performance when removing large parts of high-definition images, prompting them to seek a more robust solution. Transitioning to generative diffusion models, they fine-tuned these models for their specific use case, focusing on preserving the original content and optimizing inference speed.

"3D Segmentation on Dental CBCT Images | Presentation of SISTR: Sinus and Inferior Alveolar Nerve Segmentation with Targeted Refinement on Cone Beam Computed Tomography Images," presented by Laura Miscarchi and Emma Covili from Allisone.AI.
Laura and Emma will present a novel 3D segmentation method for dental CBCT images. This approach enhances accuracy for dental implant planning by precisely segmenting structures such as the sinus and inferior alveolar nerve. We will also discuss the rigorous validation of this method on an extensive dataset, outperforming traditional techniques in a single step.

"Evolution of Computer Vision in Radiology" presented by Gabriel Misrachi from Gleamer.
Gabriel will explore the evolution of computer vision in radiology, highlighting the early adoption of supervised learning and improvement with self-supervised learning. He will also discuss the potential of large multimodal models to transform the integration of AI into radiological practices, as well as exciting prospects for the future of Computer Vision in the medical field.
