Hi Dear,

I am Sophie. You might have seen me running in a park before. I am the lady with a big smile who loves to dance and jump while running.
When I run, I see some of you efforting. I know it is not a real verb. I made that up ;) But you get the point. It does not have to be that way, no matter where you stand in your journey. Pain, feelings of doubt and frustration are optional.
You can do it with ease and grace and still reach your goals - in fact, you get there faster when you are in flow, enjoying yourself.

This workshop does not teach specific running techniques per se. (But if you are interested in some of my running techniques, feel free to send me an email with your details so that I can keep you posted with respects to future workshops - I would be delighted to share how to effortlessly run upward slopes - unless you have a very steep upward slope, it should really be irrelevant whether the road is flat or hilly).

This is not a group running session. There won't be any drills. In this workshop, I am going to talk about the skills you need to unlock your potential, trust yourself, be consistent and deal with the unexpected. In short, the things you need to smoothly go through your journey with ease and grace and reach your moonshot goal.

Most people, when they want to make progress towards their goals, do not break down the two components of running:

  1. There is a technical aspect: there are many layers of mastery that allow you to hone your running skills.
  2. There is an emotional component: progress requires you to get out of your comfort zone and the body tends to resist change if not prepared.

If you don’t know how to handle the anguish, the stress, it is much easier to address each component separately at first. This allows you to be more aware of your inner states and to learn to shorten the emotional response and shift.

If your body contracts, you cannot pay as much attention to the information and subtle signals the body is sending you. However, if you learn to shorten your emotional response and come back to the present moment and relax your body, you can unleash your true potential (and prevent injuries :). Only then, can you have the bandwidth to truly listen to your body and use those cues to adjust your running style and develop your own techniques adapted to your unique body and constraints (instead of copy-pasting a technique that was never meant for you in the first place ;-). That is the door to exponential growth…

If your body does not feel safe for the next stage of your growth, it won’t cooperate. Nothing to do with your worth or the limitations of your body. You probably only tap into less than 5% of your true potential. That’s why running is so interesting! My partner used to think he had bad knees. We debunk a few myths and this year, he ran his first marathon, safe and sound. In truth, this is not so important, but seeing his eyes full of sparkles and surprise, that was such a gift! Life is supposed to be easy. If it is not, you are probably using the wrong tool - it is like eating a soup with a fork ;)

The workshop is led in English unless all participants happen to speak French. It is better to come in your running gear for the live demo, but I am not going to make you run, so maybe you come with a jacket or something to keep you warm when you are not moving.
We meet at the main entrance of the park, i.e. close to the Town Hall (the entrance close to la Mairie du XIXème).

Come join us!

P.S. If you are super in but none of the timeslots work for you, feel free to email me with the usual times, days and locations that work best for you. That will give me information about when and where to schedule future potential workshops.
