Page & Screen #1 - Watch Klara and the Sun together

🎬 📖 Welcome to the very first Page & Screen meetup!
Page & Screen is a new book club in Paris. Our first pick is Klara and the Sun, the new adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel, directed by Taika Waititi, with Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams. It just came out in French cinemas, and we’ll see it together in VO (original version with French subtitles).

The plan:
🍿 Tuesday 27 October: we watch the film together at UGC Les Halles.
📚 November: we read the novel in English, French, or any language you are comfortable with. Everyone reads at home, but if you’d like to read together in person (weather permitting!) or join a virtual reading party, that could be fun too!
☕ End of November: we meet up (in person or online) to talk about it: what the film changed, what it left out, and which version we preferred.

Practical info:
🎟 Please book your ticket in advance (online or at the cinema).
📍 Let’s meet at around 19:00 at the cinema entrance and go in together. At UGC Les Halles, seats aren’t assigned, so we can sit next to each other anyway!
