Let's meet and start a conversation about Gender Equality in Fashion✨

Yesterday, March 8 marked International Women's Day 2022✨🌸
The IWD theme for 2022 was #BreakTheBias.
As you may know, there are many biases in fashion.
One of the biases ⁣that need breaking in fashion is ⁣Gender Inequality.

Did you know:⠀
Over 85% of graduating majors from top fashion schools are female and one in six individuals employed by the fashion industry globally identifies as female (Fair Trade Certified), but only around 14% of the top 50 major fashion brands are run by women (2018)?

⁣Fashion still remains a male-dominated business, wherein women spend 226% more than their male counterparts, but men still hold a majority of the power in regards to running the fashion houses. ⠀⠀

This Saturday afternoon, let's meet up at fluctuart and start a conversation about gender equality in fashion! It will be very interesting to learn and hear about different perfectives from the community on this topic.
By becoming more aware of this problem as a community, society, we could create a more equal fashion industry for women!
