🍂Hiking the Forest of Fontainebleau to Barbizon

Détails
Join me for a beautiful autumn hike on Saturday, 11 October, as we explore the forests of Fontainebleau and the charming artist village of Barbizon.
We’ll meet at 8:40 AM in front of Gare de Lyon (48°50'43.2"N 2°22'24.7"E) and take the train to Bois-le-Roi, a 35-minute train ride. From there, our trail winds through the colorful autumn forest, peaceful paths, and fresh air all around us. Along the way, we’ll pass by impressive sandstone boulders, famous worldwide as a playground for bouldering, a climbing sport that attracts climbers from across the globe.
The trail will then lead us to the charming village of Barbizon, famous for its artistic history and cozy cafés. Here, we’ll take a break and enjoy a coffee/cake together in one of its lovely cafés.
When we’re ready, we’ll hop on a short 25-minute bus ride to Fontainebleau–Avon, and from there catch the train back to Paris, Gare de Lyon.
