I invite you to join something a bit different from our usual hikes: a night hike in the Forêt de Meudon, just outside Paris. It’s a unique experience to feel the calm of the forest in total darkness, enjoy beautiful night views over Paris, and share the adventure with fellow night hikers.

We’ll meet on Wednesday, Nov 12, 19:00 in front of Meudon Val Fleury RER train station (make sure you get there in time) where our hike begins. To get there, take train line C from Paris (from Saint-Michel - Notre Dame there is the RER C, 25 min travel time).

From there, we’ll start our climb towards the Observatoire de Meudon area, where we’ll catch our first panoramic views of Paris illuminated at night. Then, the forest will welcome us as we explore the quiet trails of the Forêt de Meudon. In the second part of our hike, we’ll leave the forest near Clamart, where more stunning night views await. From there, we’ll descend towards Mairie d’Issy (metro line 12), where our hike will end.
Have your own snacks and water, we will have brief stops for snacking in the forest.

The activity will be in English, ideal for expats and anglophones living in or visiting Paris.

This Night Hiking Project is an idea to explore Ile de France/ Paris from a different perspective. Also, it is a good opportunity to escape routine and meet fellow night hikers.

Distance: ~12 km (7 miles)
Elevation: +170 m (550 ft)
Duration: ~3 hours including breaks
Where we meet: 19:00 in front of Meudon Val Fleury RER train station
