WALKING TOUR THROUGH PARIS
If you're living here in Paris and feel like you haven't gotten to know the city yet, or if you're passing through and want to know a bit more about the City of Love, come along this Friday afternoon for a 2-hour walking tour of Paris!
On this tour, I'll be telling the story of Paris through the lens of literature! Even if you’re not a bookworm, you will no doubt be familiar with dozens of works of literature that either take place in or were written in Paris. Meet the famous landmarks which served as the setting for famous novels, from the Three Musketeers at the Louvre and Quasimodo at the Notre-Dame Cathedral, visit some of the cafes where famous authors like Hemingway, Fitzgerald, de Beauvoir, and Sartre used to drink and write, and learn about Paris's evolution from ancient times to today, as we discuss works and authors, French and international, from all different genres and time periods — many that you already know and a few that you don’t!
I work for myself here in Paris as a tour guide, and I love love love this city. This literature-themed tour is new, I’m a huge bookworm, and I’m super excited to share it with you! I promise it will be the most enthusiastic tour you’ve ever been on!
We’ll start at the Louvre at 2:00pm this Friday afternoon - I’ll be standing in front of the Pyramid holding a red umbrella! We’ll make our way across the river and through the Left Bank and finish at Notre-Dame Cathedral at around 4.15pm.
Feel free to bring along friends and anyone else interested (and, since I do this for a living, feel free to budget to leave a tip at the end as well 😉)
*IMPORTANT NOTE* - please check your inbox here on Meetup, as I'll send you a message to confirm that you're coming along!
It’s going to be a lot of fun, and I’m super excited — I hope to see you all there!
