Truffels Social hike - Nice - Villefranche

it is truffels time and in Villefranche is the truffels and local products market on Sunday thus a good opportunity for a social hike from Nice to Villefranche and then indulging in the scents of the black mushrooms and other local food.

Did you know that from mid-January to February, truffles reach their peak in terms of quality and flavor? It is during this period that Tuber melanosporum, or black truffles, reveal all their aromatic richness, offering subtle and captivating aromas. These local treasures, often called “black diamonds,” are perfect for adding a refined touch to your winter dishes. Whether to enhance them in an omelette, grate them on pasta, or integrate them into a simple bruschetta, fresh truffles bring an inimitable flavor and an unforgettable taste experience.

The Truffle and Local Producers Market offers you a unique immersive experience by allowing you to meet passionate producers, proud to share their freshly harvested truffles and their authentic know-how. The hike goes along the sentier littoral which is already a lovely stroll by itself, we start in the port under the art sculpture.
