Mont Ferion - Social hiking

Détails
With the weather forecast for Sunday looking warm and sunny, I suggest to go up to Mont Ferion, offering as always splendid views over the Cote d'Azur and the Mercantour.
At the highest point of the Nice region, where the Var River flows west and the Paillons Valley east, Mont Férion (1,412 m) offers stunning views over the villages of Levens with its expansive green plateau and Coaraze, nestled on a beautiful ridge.
This remarkable site showcases the resilience of the Mediterranean landscape, shaped by centuries of sunshine and local flora. Mature forests of cedar, Austrian pine, and black pine thrive here, particularly around the historic Saint-Michel chapel. The cedar grove creates a unique and tranquil atmosphere within a landscape of grazing pastures, fragrant scrubland, and beautiful pine forests – a truly special experience.
This is a very scenic hike, first going through the forest before reaching the crest. This is a medium sportive hike, with +/-750m.
